Bounce House Fun: Exciting Games to Play

Bounce houses are not just inflatable playgrounds; they’re hubs of endless fun and games for kids of all ages. Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, a neighborhood gathering, or a school event, here are some exhilarating games to make the most out of your bounce house experience:

1. Bounce House Obstacle Course:

  • Set up an obstacle course inside the bounce house using soft obstacles like inflatable tunnels, small hurdles, and even pillows or foam blocks. Time each participant and see who can navigate the course the fastest without falling or touching the obstacles.

2. Bounce House Tag:

  • A classic game of tag gets a bouncy twist! Designate one child as the “tagger” who chases others around the bounce house. When tagged, a player becomes the new tagger. It’s a high-energy game that keeps everyone moving and laughing.

3. Bounce House Basketball Dunk Contest:

  • Install an inflatable basketball hoop inside the bounce house and challenge kids to show off their dunking skills. You can award points for style, creativity, and successful dunks. It’s a slam dunk of a game that encourages friendly competition. Make sure you set rules appropriately though, ensure players avoid hanging on the hoop. Most bounce house operators (us included) do not want bouncers hanging on the hoop as it can damage the bounce house.

4. Bounce House Relay Races:

  • Divide kids into teams and organize relay races where participants bounce to a designated spot, perform a fun task (like picking up a small toy), and bounce back to tag the next teammate. The team that finishes first wins!

5. Bounce House Simon Says:

  • Put a twist on the classic Simon Says game by incorporating bounce house moves. The leader can call out commands like “Simon says bounce on one foot,” “Simon says do a 360 spin,” or “Simon says freeze!” Players must follow commands only when preceded by “Simon says.” Those who move without the command are out.

6. Bounce House Dance Party:

  • Crank up some upbeat music and let the kids show off their dance moves inside the bounce house. Encourage them to bounce, twirl, and groove to the rhythm. It’s a fantastic way to burn off energy and have a blast together.

7. Bounce House Ball Pit Challenge:

  • Fill a corner of the bounce house with soft, lightweight balls (like plastic play balls or foam balls) and challenge kids to find specific colored balls or retrieve a hidden item among them. It’s a tactile and engaging game that keeps them entertained.

8. Bounce House Limbo:

  • Lower a soft inflatable bar or use a long pool noodle for a bouncing version of the limbo game. Kids take turns bouncing under the bar without touching it or falling. Lower the bar after each round to increase the difficulty and see who can go the lowest.

These games are sure to turn any bounce house outing into an unforgettable adventure for children. Remember to prioritize safety with adult supervision and adherence to bounce house guidelines to ensure everyone has a bouncing good time!
